African American Heroes: Frederick Douglass

In honor of Frederick Douglass, Dr. Charles Vincent will show the documentary, Frederick Douglass: When the Lion Wrote History. After the viewing, Dr. Vincent will give a short presentation while discussing Frederick Douglass’ life and accomplishments. The program will end with a Q&A session open to the audience.

Free back-to-school supplies and refreshments will be provided by Councilman Vincent and Ashley Optical.

Charles Vincent, Ph.D., retired professor of history at Southern University and Director of the Mwalimu Institute. He also represents District One of the Baker City Council.
